Dr. Deborah New, D.D.S., Ph.D.

Dr. Deborah New began her career as an orthodontist eighteen years ago. Prior to the opening of her office in Chili, NY in 2001, she worked in private practice as an associate. Dr. New completed her orthodontic training from the renowned Eastman Dental Center in 1994, where she continued to actively treat orthodontic patients. She has been on the faculty of the Department of Orthodontics at Eastman where she taught at the University of Rochester. She was a Dentist-Scientist Award Trainee at the University of Rochester where she also completed her PhD with honors in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomy in 1998.
Dr. New graduated cum laude with her D.D.S degree in June 1991 from the Ohio State University. While attending dental school, Dr. New received numerous awards, including the Proctor and Gamble Community Preventive Dentistry Award, the American Association of Dental Research Award, and the Ohio Dental Alumni Association Student Table Clinics Achievement Award. As an honor student, she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Following her dental training in 1991, Dr. New and her family moved to the Rochester area where they have been residents in the town of Chili for the last eighteen years. Dr. New is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Northeast Society of Orthodontics where she is serving on the Committee for Orthodontic Practice, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association where she serves on the Orthodontic Division Executive Board, Seventh District Dental Society and the Monroe County Dental Society of Orthodontics. Dr. New is an avid O.S.U. college football fan and when you enter her consultation area it shows as there are numerous Ohio State Football memorabilia. She enjoys tennis and often bikes to work in the summer.
Dr. New is dedicated to utilizing her extensive experience to provide her patients with personalized attention to detail. She gives all patients a complete and thorough explanation of treatment options to enable them to make well informed decisions for their, or their families, future dental health.
